Testing my new toaster that poaches an egg!

In case you didn't know, my toaster died last week.

I was not about to go to the store and purchase just any toaster.  This was an opportunity!  I researched toasters online and found this little baby: Back to Basics Toaster and Egg Poacher. Yes, it's an amazon affiliate link.  I really bought this and if my post convinces you to buy it, why not let me get a couple cents in commission?

The toaster arrived yesterday but I waited until this morning to try it out.  It was supposed to do the egg and toast at the same time, but I was skeptical and thought it best to give each part a try separately.

Poaching the egg was super simple.  Add 3 tbsp of water to the heating tray, add a little butter/spread to the tiny little egg pan, crack an egg into the pan, break the yolk and press the egg button. Here it is, with one egg in the poaching component:

It only took about 2 minutes and the light went out.  Voila:

I started the toast next.  I set the gauge halfway:

It came out perfect IMHO!

I flipped the little round egg patty onto the toast.   If only I had an english muffin...

And then I ate it.
